lenses are also made from a revolutionary material that allows up to 5x more oxygen through the lens than traditional hydrogel lenses for healthy-looking eyes. They are even approved for daily and up to 6 nights of overnight wear.
AIR OPTIX® AQUA have FDA and CE mark approvals for daily and extended wear for up to six nights, with recommended replacement after one month.

CIBA VISION has two lens care solutions -- and , that are suitable for the optimal maintenance of silicone hydrogel lenses, including AIR OPTIX® AQUA
AIR OPTIX® AQUA lenses are made of lotrafilcon B, a revolutionary patented silicone hydrogel material. AIR OPTIX® AQUA material is surface treated, making the surface more wettable, deposit resistant and anti-bacterial.
AIR OPTIX® AQUA lenses are made of a revolutionary patented silicone hydrogel material, lotrafilcon B. The unique molecular structure of this material has two distinct pathways that allow water to pass through the lens without reducing the material’s ability to transmit oxygen to the eye. This enables the lens to move freely on the eye and to keep plenty of oxygen flowing to the cornea.
Oxygen is essential to keep eyes comfortable and healthy. If your eyes don't get enough oxygen, you may experience symptoms such as end-of-day discomfort, dryness and redness. These symptoms may be reduced by switching to breathable contact lenses, such as AIR OPTIX® AQUA which are made of a revolutionary lens material - silicone hydrogel, that allows the eyes to breathe and stay healthy-looking.
Oxygen transmissibility (Dk/t) refers to the lens material’s ability to transmit oxygen to the eyes. It takes into account the material’s oxygen transmissibility and the lens thickness, factors that affect the amount of oxygen that can pass through the lens to the eyes.
